Learn Spanish While On Vacation

Are you looking to learn Spanish? A Vacation to a largely Spanish speaking area is a great way to immerse yourself into Spanish relatively quickly.

A San Diego Vacation is a great place to learn spanish. You may be asking why. Well, to begin with Mexico is only a few miles south of the U.S./Mexican border from San Diego. Discovering the rich Mexican culture and environment, found south of the border, may be one of the most memorable experiences you'll ever have while on your San Diego Vacation.

You may already be aware that San Diego has been largely influenced by Spanish culture. You just can't avoid the immense Spaniard influence found in this Southern part of California...from the architecture, to the street names, to the foods, and to the art.

California has always been largely populated with hispanics, but San Diego seems to have the highest population of all California cities. If you travel to the South Bay, you will even find that a lot of shops and restaurants accept the Peso...Mexican curreny...for simple everyday purchases.

We have both been blessed with this beautiful language. Communicating south of the border has never been a problem. This has opened doors and allowed us to get the most out of our travels each time.

You don't neccesarily have to speak the language 100% before visiting Mexico. But be sure you can atleast communicate a few simple things in order to get what you need. This will ensure you have a stress free vacation in Mexico.

No false promises made here. I will be honest, you probably won't be able to learn the Spanish language completly and throughly over night.

What I will assure you of though is your ability to learn a few simple words and phrases that will make a world of difference to you. Simple things such as asking where the best taco stand is or how to catch a taxi will make things more enjoyable. Just keep it simple, and you'll be fine.

You must be realistic though...you just can't learn Spanish by simply reading about it. Although it does help, what you need is a combination of the right resources and proper practice. Sometimes that doesn't even seem like it's enough either. You will really have to work at it to start seeing improvements.

This is why San Diego is the ideal place to learn Spanish. I know of a lot of people who have gone into Mexico with very broken Spanish...but after a few days of speaking nothing but Spanish, they have shown major improvements!

It's often frustrating when your around others and there's a language barrier. Prepare yourself before visiting San Diego, so you can take full advantage of the rich Mexican culture it has to offer. You won't be disappointed.
